A general practitioner at West Suburban Veterinary Associates since 2007, Dr. Jeff Vidt hails from Westmont. He attended the University of Illinois Champaign-Urbana as an undergraduate and received his Bachelor’s Degree in Zoology in 1976 and his Bachelor’s Degree in Veterinary Science in 1978. He continued his veterinary education at the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 1980.
Ophthalmology and internal medicine are among Dr. Vidt’s many professional interests. He also has a particular interest in the healthcare of Chinese Shar-Pei.
Dr. Vidt is a lifetime member and health care chairman for the Chinese Shar-Pei Club of America. He was honored to receive the William Morison Service award from the club. He belongs to the American Veterinary Medical Association and is a lifetime member of the Illinois State and Chicago Veterinary Medical Associations.
Dr. Vidt and his wife are involved with Chinese Shar-Pei rescue and enjoy sharing their home with their own rescue Shar-Pei.
