Client care specialists are dedicated team members, all of whom love animals; greet our clients and patients in a friendly, welcoming manner; handle incoming phone calls; schedule appointments; facilitate the flow of clients visits; and file and maintain medical records. A client care specialist in a veterinary hospital is in a unique position, as they are on the front line and the first person who may receive a call regarding a sick pet. Unlike human medicine, our patients can’t speak, so our client care specialists are trained to ask the owner the proper questions in order to best determine the immediate needs of the patient. Our team will always put the health of your pet first, our policy is: “If they’re sick, we see them,” no matter how busy we are. As long as we’re here, we’re here for your pet.
Kimberly, Office Manager
“My family and I have always loved animals, and we consider them part of the family. It warms my heart to be able to take care of someone’s family (pets) and see the joy on the faces of both human and animal family members.”
Kim is the office manager and handles the daily operations of reception and client service. She assures that each client’s visit is pleasant. Kim has been in the customer service business since high school. She enjoys working at WSVA because everyone works together as a family to provide the best possible experience for our clients and patients. Kim enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with her husband Dennis, their two daughters Jackie and Hayley and rescue dogs DJ, Grizzly and Mischief.
Anj, Client Care Specialist
“I have a passion for working with animals and enjoy witnessing the bond they share with their owners. I want to ease animal suffering and educate clients on proper pet care. Also, I love the staff and how much we all share a passion for animals, and we all communicate well to do what is best for our patients.”
Anj, a Client Care Specialist, assures that each client visit is a pleasant experience for both the patient and owner. Anj has a bachelor of science degree from Benedictine University, Lisle. In addition, she has veterinary technician experience that is an added bonus for our patients and their people. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends and volunteers at Feed My Starving Children and at Loaves and Fishes.
Paul, Client Care Specialist
“I like working and caring for animals in order to give back the unconditional love they give us. I also like working at West Suburban Veterinary Associates because I am part of a passionate and intelligent team of professionals.”
Paul greets clients and assures that a client’s experience is positive and does so with humor. He not only keeps our clients laughing but our staff as well. In addition, he is in charge of community outreach for WSVA, and as such, he is a member of three chambers of commerce: Westmont, Downers Grove and Hinsdale. He served in the United States Marine Corps for eight years. Paul shares his home with his wife, son and their dog Star.
Tina, Client Care Specialist

A Client Care Specialist at West Suburban Veterinary Associates since 2005, Tina grew up in La Grange and has 20 years of veterinary experience. Tina is passionate about her job and will go the extra mile for our clients. In addition, she serves on the Planning and Zoning Commission for the City of Countryside. Tina recently celebrated the birth of her first grandchild and is enjoying spending time with him. She shares her home with her husband Jim and their two cats, Tough Guy and Midnight, and her rescue dog Mia.
Donna, Client Care Specialist

As a Client Care Specialist, Donna always has a smile for our clients. With her warm and inviting demeanor, she greets our clients and makes them feel at home. The mother of five, Donna was a systems analyst for Sears. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Chicago State University. Donna and her husband share their home with a Welsh terrier named Bailey and a domestic short-haired cat named Templeton. In addition, she is involved with St. Joseph Catholic Church.
Lynn, Client Care Specialist
“I do not have pets at home due to my children’s’ allergies, so luckily I get to have interaction with pets here at the hospital. Also, I enjoy my co-workers, they are very compassionate and pleasant.”
Lynn, a Client Service Specialist, handles incoming phone calls, schedules appointments and facilitates the flow of client visits. Lynn’s smile and eagerness to help each client is infectious. She was a substitute teacher for elementary education students and an Account Service Rep at MCI Telecommunications. Lynn has a bachelor of arts degree in Speech Communication from the University of Illinois, Champaign, and a master’s degree in Elementary Education from National Lewis University, Lisle. She enjoys spending time with her husband Jim and their children.
Patrick, Client Care Specialist
“I enjoy caring for animals because of their unconditional love. Also, I enjoy the people I work with because of their positive attitudes and their passion for helping animals.”
Patrick Hurley is studying for his doctorate degree in Veterinary Medicine, class of 2020, from Virginia-Maryland College of Veterinary Medicine, Blacksburg, Virginia. Patrick interned at WSVA, and he is the hero who adopted Firecat, the long-term resident of WSVA. Firecat was rescued from a burning house and brought back to health by the entire staff at the clinic.
Nancy, Client Care Specialist
“A pet’s loyalty is unmatched. I love seeing a pet’s health improve. Also the staff is very patient, understanding and professional.”
As a Client Care Specialist, Nancy answers phones, greets clients and truly loves each interaction she has with clients and their pets. She is a registered nurse with degrees from Loyola University and Morton College. Nancy plays golf, acts, sings and does calligraphy. Nancy and her husband Ed have four children and five grandchildren.
Laura, Client Care Specialist

Laura joined the WSVA team as a Client Care Specialist in 2010. She enjoys welcoming our clients and seeing the friendly faces of their pets. She feels that the most gratifying part of the job is being able to work with such a dedicated staff. Laura loves to spend quality time with her husband, two children, and the family’s two shelter puppies, Marley and Thor.
Marlene, Client Care Specialist
“I have had a love for animals since I was little, and I enjoy helping them in any way I can. That’s the biggest perk of working here.”
Marlene handles phone calls, schedules appointments and maintains medical records as a client care specialist at West Suburban Veterinary Associates. She earned a certificate in event planning from College of DuPage, Glen Ellyn. The Downers Grove resident has two cats.
Natalie, Client Service Specialist
“At West Suburban Veterinary Associates, I strive to make every patient and client visit a great one by welcoming everyone who walks through our doors. Whether it’s taking a message, filling a food order or faxing records, I’m happy to help everyone who calls or comes in. Behind the scenes, I support the vet techs and doctors. Everyone at WSVA cares a lot!”
Natalie helps care for pets and their owners. She is certified in Basic Life Support as well as Emergency Medical Technician – Basic, both designations from College of DuPage, Glen Ellyn. Natalie is a volunteer at Peoples Resource Center in Westmont. She lives with her husband, a dog and a cat in Westmont.
